The course is held along the
Portage Waterway on Highway M-203. The 10 Mile Run/Walk
starts at McLain State Park and the 5 Mile Run/Walk
starts near High Point Road in Hancock. All races finish
in downtown Hancock. The course is USATF Certified and
offers beautiful scenery along the Portage Canal. The
course is on a paved road surface. The road is not
closed to traffic, but is patrolled by law enforcement
and volunteers during the race. Participants are
requested to run along the side of the road.
Aid stations are available throughout
the race, as well as medical professionals leading and
following the participants. Aid stations will be located
at miles 2, 5, 7, 9 and 9.5. Water and Powerade will be
provided at all aid stations.
