How do I get to the start of the race? 

Shuttle services are provided from Citizen’s Bank in Hancock to McLain State Park (Start for 10 mile) and High Point Road (Start for 5 mile).  Please allow an ample amount of time to get to the race start and register before the race.  The shuttle will leave every 20 minutes beginning at 6:00 a.m. The last ride will leave at 8:00 a.m.   

When and where will awards be given?

The awards ceremony will take place at the Copper Island Beach Club on Navy Street in Hancock and will begin when all participants finish (approximately 11:30 a.m. est.).

What is the running surface?

The race takes place on a paved highway.   

Are there aid stations along the way?

Yes, there will be aid stations throughout the race, as well as medical professionals leading and following the participants. Aid stations will be located at miles 2, 5, 7, 9 and 9.5. Water and Powerade will be provided at all aid stations.   

Are there any giveaways for participants? 

Each participant will receive a dry-wicking t-shirt and snacks following the race. 

What other activities are there to participate in throughout the weekend? 

There will be a Pre-Race All-you-can-Eat Pasta Dinner on Friday, July 16th from 5 - 8 at the Mannerheim Cafe on the campus of Finlandia University. This year's dinner will be hosted and catered by the Keweenaw Co-op Natural Foods Market & Deli. The evenings event will include local live entertainment and raffle prizes from local businesses. When will I be able to pick up my race packet?

Race packets will be available on Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at the Pasta Dinner (at the Mannerheim Cafe on the campus of Finlandia University). Race packets will also be available on Saturday morning at registration, which will be at the race start.
