- Start Times
- 10 Mile Run – 8:00 a.m.
- 10 Mile Walk – 7:00 a.m.
- 5 Mile Run – 8:15 a.m.
- 5 Mile Walk – 8:20 a.m.
- Shuttle Service
- Shuttle services are
provided from Citizen’s Bank in Hancock to
McLain State Park (Start for 10 mile) and High
Point Road (Start for 5 mile). Please allow an
ample amount of time to get to the race start.
The shuttle will leave every 20 minutes
beginning at 6:00 a.m. The last ride will leave
at 8:00 a.m. Parking is available at Citizen’s
Bank.
- Packet Pick-up
- Race packets will be
available on Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at the
Pasta Dinner (First United Methodist Church –
right at the finish line of the race). Race
packets will also be available on Saturday
morning at registration, which will be at the
race finish.
- Awards Ceremony
- The awards ceremony will
take place in downtown Hancock, near the finish
line. The ceremony will begin when all
participants finish (approximately 10:30 a.m.
est.).
- Overall male and female
winners for each race will receive baskets
filled with local goodies. 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place medals will be given in
the following Age Groups: Under 19, 20-24,
25--29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
- Aid Stations
- Aid Stations will be
located at miles 2, 5, 7, 9 and 9.5. Water and
Powerade will be provided at all aid
stations. Medical professionals will also be
leading and following the participants.
- Race Swag
- Each participant will
receive race swag, such as a t-shirt or hat, and
snacks following the race.
- Clothing Bags
- Eco-friendly canvas bags
will be given to all race participants at packet
pick-up, compliments of Finlandia University.
Bag tags will be provided. The bags will be
transported to the finish line. The Canal Run is
not responsible for lost items.
- Pre-Race Pasta Dinner --

The use of headphones is
strongly discouraged this year for the
safety of our participants, as the race
course is not closed to traffic.

Parking will not be
available at the 5 Mile Start. Shuttle
service will be available at the Race
Finish.

Runners and walkers must
stay on the left side of the road at all
times.

To eliminate congestion
at the finish line, walkers are
asked to come through the finish line single
file.
